Introduction

Rope Skipping is a sport for all ages and abilities. It helps the development and improvement of psychomotor skills, coordination, agility, flexibility, stamina and endurance. Besides all these benefits, Rope Skipping can also increase self esteem and confidence when skippers increase their skills levels and develop performing skills.

i-Skip Rope Skipping Program is aimed to introduce the basic rope skipping skills and equips them with the right skills for higher levels of rope skipping. Our program will improve the overall fitness and stamina of the skippers and at the same time develop their coordination teamwork and leadership skills.

During the program, skippers will learn basic skipping skills, level one single rope tricks, long rope skills and the introduction of double dutch. At the end of the program, we will do an assessment of the skippers’ abilities.

In the year 2014/15, Singapore Sports Council’s Sports Education Program – SEP endorses our program. With this endorsement, schools will receive a 50% grant. This provides the best opportunity for schools to introduce the wonderful sport of Rope Skipping.
